The architecture of the stadium built in 1935 and its location make it the most beautiful Algerian stadium, and one of the most beautiful football stadiums in the world.

Bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, the Basilica of Our Lady of Africa to the south, and by the communes of Bab-El-Oued and Raïs Hamidou, respectively to the east and west, it occupies an extraordinary site offering a breathtaking view.

The stadium is home to the club USMA.
